Job summary

Trigg County Hospital Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services team member to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will follow infection control guidelines and CDC recommendations to clean patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, halls, bathrooms, handrails, and clinical spaces.

Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and the Compliance Officer-Director of Quality Assurance & Risk Management. Education: High-School Diploma preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or housekeeping in healthcare settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, halls, bathrooms, handrails, and clinical spaces according to guidelines.
• Follow CDC infection control guidelines and Best Practice methods; report to supervisors.

Purpose of Job: To provide a clean environment, follow infection control guidelines, and utilize Best Practice methods following CDC recommendations for cleaning and sanitizing areas within the hospital to include but not limited to: patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, halls/floors, bathrooms, handrails, and clinical areas. Environmental Services will follow all policies and procedures designed to keep Trigg County Hospital free from bacteria, viruses and unsanitary conditions that could cause patients, visitors, and employees harm.Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer and/or Compliance Officer-Director of Quality Assurance & Risk ManagementLicensure / Certification / Registration: None are notedEducation: High-School Diploma preferred, but not required.Experience: One year of previous related housekeeping experience in public or healthcare services is preferred.
