Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Full-time Environmental Services Tech III (Floor Tech) for the Night Shift from 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., including every other weekend and major holiday.

Responsibilities include maintaining floors, applying cleaning methods, and safely using chemicals and equipment. Cross-training to EST I ensures coverage when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 1 year housekeeping/ESD experience in lieu of high school education is required.
• Less than a year of Environmental Associate experience is required.
• Previous healthcare/hospitality experience is preferred.
• Floor tech experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

Job Summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Full-time, night-shift Environmental Services Tech III (Floor Tech) to support the Environmental Services Department. Hours/Shift: Full-time, Night Shift from 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and every other weekend and every other major holiday.

Responsible for maintenance of floors. Practices safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals, various equipment and cleaning applications to include: mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping and polishing. Cross trained to EST I competencies in order to provide cleaning duties when necessary.

1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School Education.

Education & Experience

• High School Grad or Equivalent (Preferred)
• 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience in lieu of High School Education (Required)
• Less than a year of experience as an Environmental Associate (Required)
• Previous Healthcare/Hospitality Experience (Preferred)
• Floor Tech Experience (Preferred)

Salary & Benefits

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.08 - $26.26 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
