Watertown Regional Medical Center in Watertown, WI is seeking a dedicated janitorial associate to maintain clean, sanitary environments across patient areas and facilities. You will follow cleaning protocols, load carts, and transport supplies to work zones.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, trash removal, and lightweight furniture setup for meetings. Fluency in English and reliable attendance are required; prior acute care experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Clean assigned area using germicidal cleaning solutions.
• Load service cart and transport supplies to work area.
• Sweep, mop floors and vacuum; spot clean carpet.
• Clean restrooms and replenish essentials.
• Collect and remove trash; sanitize cans and areas.
• May collect hazardous waste in sealed containers for sterilization.
• May collect and distribute clean linen.
• Arrange furniture for meetings and events.
• Return unused supplies to janitor closet in an orderly manner.

Essential Functions

• Selects cleaning materials/supplies and prepares cleaning solutions. Loads service cart and transports to work area.
• Cleans assigned area (including, but on limited to walls, doors, tile, fixtures, patient TVs and equipment) with germicidal cleaning solutions.
• Sweeps, mops floors and vacuums carpet. Spot cleans carpet using appropriate solutions.
• Cleans restrooms, vanity areas, showers and commodes, maintaining sanitary and odor free conditions. Replenishes essentials.
• Collects and removes trash, sanitizes all garbage cans and compactor area.
• May collect and transport hazardous waste in a special closed container for sterilization before disposal.
• May collect soiled linen and distribute clean linen.
• Arranges furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs.
• Returns unused supplies to janitor closet ensuring all supplies are replaced in an orderly manner.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations

• Must read, write and speak fluent English to comprehend instructions of cleaning materials.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role. (Preferred)

Licenses/Certification

• None required

Experience

• Previous experience in acute care setting preferred.
