PeaceHealth is seeking an Environmental Service Attendant I for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position in Longview, WA. The salary range is $20.75 – $28.43 per hour, with hiring based on education, training, and experience under a collective bargaining agreement.

The role cleans and sanitizes rooms, floors, fixtures, and furnishings, restocks supplies, and may set up conference rooms. Strong customer service and independent work ethics are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of formal housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect rooms, floors, fixtures, and furnishings according to procedures.
• Restock supplies and replenish housekeeping carts.
• Set up furniture in conference rooms as needed.
• Respond to cleaning requests and urgent housekeeping needs.
• Communicate priorities with clinical staff in patient areas when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. There may be more than one opening on this posting.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing rooms, floors, fixtures and furnishings in assigned work area following established policies and procedures. Also responsible for performing other miscellaneous housekeeping duties such as replenishing supplies.

Details of the Position:

• Ensure that assigned areas are cleaned and disinfected according to departmental procedures. This may include dusting; mopping; vacuuming; spot cleaning carpets; washing walls, ceilings, furniture and fixtures; emptying trash; restocking supplies; washing and making beds.


• May set up furniture in conference rooms.


• Maintain housekeeping cart, restock paper receptacles, replace sharps containers, and orders supplies essential to the job. Clean and store equipment properly.


• Respond to emergency cleaning needs or housekeeping requires in a timely manner.


• In clinical areas, communicate with clinical personnel to determine priority of cleaning needs.


• Performs other duties as assigned.
