Sky Lakes Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Service Aide for Environmental Services. This PT on-site role carries an hourly range of $16.28 to $23.88 USD and involves maintaining a clean and sanitary environment across patient care and support areas.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning tasks, stocking, operating cleaning equipment, and handling chemicals safely, with some duties in a charge capacity and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required: Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions in order to perform all cleaning tasks that are required to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Prolonged standing and walking. Frequently required to bend, stoop, stretch, twist and turn while performing manual tasks that require manual dexterity. Lifting 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Pushing and pulling 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to assess situations and prioritize workload demands while coping with stressful situations. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily and restorative cleaning tasks and functions in all patient care and support areas of hospital or satellite facilities.
• Replenishes floor stock and other housekeeping supplies as required in a cost effective manner.
• Operates and maintains all cleaning equipment in a safe and competent manner.
• Develops a working familiarity of all precautions, use and disposal methods of all chemicals used in the normal course of meeting job responsibilities.
• Removes and replaces drapes and cubicle curtains as needed.
• Acts in a charge capacity as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
