Job summary

Halff is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Transmission Line Routing & Siting practice. With 5+ years in the field, you will lead environmental projects, interact with clients, and contribute to regulatory documentation.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop routing studies, assess impacts, and testify on contested hearings while mentoring junior staff and ensuring QA/QC on deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Transmission Line Routing or Siting.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ArcGIS.
• Excellent written and oral communication with clients and regulators.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on environmental projects.
• Client interaction involvement.
• Quality assurance and quality control.
• Lead and mentor production staff.
• Ensure teamwork and project collaboration for routing studies and environmental assessment documents.
• Manage development of alternative routes and compliance documentation.
• Provide expert testimony for contested hearings.
• Work with multi-discipline teams to deliver client solutions.
• Comply with federal/state environmental regulations.
• Assist with pursuits and proposals.
