Job summary

RRP is seeking a qualified environmental professional to support regulatory compliance, conduct field investigations, and prepare NEPA documents for infrastructure projects in Texas. You will work with an interdisciplinary team and interact with clients and regulatory agencies to deliver environmental solutions.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with standard software; travel to project sites will be necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in biological sciences, environmental sciences, environmental planning or similar discipline/closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience performing core duties and responsibilities.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Candidate must provide research and writing examples, as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter support in regulatory compliance processes (NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act) and related regulations.
  • Lead and/or perform field investigations and reporting for water-related work (USACE wetlands, waters of the U.S.).
  • Lead and/or perform field investigations for biological habitat assessments focusing on Texas flora/fauna.
  • Assist in NEPA document preparation (CEs, EAs, EIS) for transportation and infrastructure projects.
  • Contribute to other environmental technical studies and reporting as needed.
  • Assist in public and agency outreach and client functions; travel as needed.
