Job summary

Stantec’s gulf coast environmental services group is seeking an Environmental Scientist to participate in environmental field surveys, reporting, and permitting support for our clients in renewable energy, electric transmission, pipeline, and other sectors. The selected candidate will assist on environmental impact analyses, wetlands, streams, and vegetation assessments across Texas and the gulf coast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an environmental discipline with field survey experience.
• Experience in environmental consulting and surveys is a plus.
• Technicall writing skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Wetland and stream delineation and assessment.
• Wildlife surveys and habitat assessments.
• Aquatic assessments (lake and stream).
• Environmental permit applications.
• GPS data collection and mapping support.
• ArcGIS online mapping and data collection applications.
• Record, enter, organize, manage, and analyze data;
• Assist with and prepare portions of written reports, tables, spreadsheets, databases, and maps for client and regulatory agency review.
