  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter, organized, detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare clear, effective reports and project deliverables, including figures, tables, summaries, and exploration logs.
  • Complete accurate Daily Field Reports, Chain of Custody forms, field logs, sketches, and other documentation.
  • Support field investigations and data analysis in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is expanding and looking for an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team in Laurel, Maryland and Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career environmental professional who’s eager to build skills, take on new challenges, and grow alongside a well-established and respected firm.

In this role, you’ll be part of GTA’s Environmental Department, supporting a diverse client base and contributing to meaningful projects including environmental due diligence, regulatory consulting, site remediation, and redevelopment initiatives. You’ll gain hands‑on experience while working closely with experienced professionals who are invested in your development.

Environmental Scientist Responsibilities
  • Prepare clear, effective reports and project deliverables, including figures, tables, summaries, and exploration logs
  • Complete accurate Daily Field Reports, Chain of Custody forms, field logs, sketches, and other documentation
  • Support field investigations and data analysis in compliance with regulatory requirements
