Colliers Engineering & Design in Mt. Laural, NJ is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our team. You will work on site assessments, analyze environmental data, and support compliance initiatives to protect communities and businesses.

You’ll collaborate with a skilled team, gain hands-on experience in geophysical surveying, hydrogeologic testing, and environmental sampling, with opportunities for growth and a supportive, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of environmental or geologic consulting experience.
• BS in Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science or Environmental/Civil Engineering.
• OSHA 40 HAZWOPER training with annual 8-hour refreshers.
• OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor training.
• Familiarity with NJ, NY and PA site remediation regulations, guidance documents and forms.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter and team player.
• Moderate travel (typical 1 to 20 hours per week, on average).
• Occasional long-distance travel and overnight stays.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for job communications.
• Willingness to absorb on-the-job training for geophysical surveying, hydrogeologic testing, and environmental sampling.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Conducting investigations related to site remediation particularly in NJ, NY, PA, DE and MD - but not limited to only these states. Must be willing to travel and be away from home occasionally during the work week.

Compensation: $64,890 - $82,635 per year (Depending on Qualifications)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of environmental or geologic consulting experience.
• BS in Geology (preferred), Earth Science, Environmental Science or Environmental/Civil Engineering. Geologist-In-Training Certification, a plus.
• OSHA 40 HAZWOPER training with annual 8-hour refreshers.
• OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor training.
• Familiarity with NJ, NY and PA site remediation regulations, guidance documents and forms.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD (a plus).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
