The City of Dallas is seeking an Environmental Analyst to perform analyses of samples (water, wastewater, soil, sludge, air) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Under supervision, you will work with various departments using approved methods to support city environmental programs.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a natural science and at least one year of entry-level lab experience, with licenses possibly required after probation.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Natural Science field.
• At least 1 year of entry-level experience in water/wastewater, environmental analysis, or laboratory work.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Some divisions may require Class D Water Operator’s license within the probationary period.
• Some positions may require a Boater Education certification within the probationary period.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Biology, or other Natural Science field.

• One (1) year of entry-level experience in water/wastewater industry, environmental analysis, or laboratory work.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Some divisions may require Class D Water Operator’s license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) within the probationary period.
• Some positions may require a Boater Education certification issued by the Texas Park & Wildlife Department (TPWD) within the probationary period.

Salary Range

$26.65 - $31.28

The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
