PRACTICE is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to provide in-person Environmental Science tutoring to high school scholars in New York. This entry-level opportunity helps you gain classroom experience while supporting scholars' academic skills and confidence.

As a PRACTICE Education Champion, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to create a positive learning experience and support learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Environmental Science or related science subjects.
• Interest in working with high school students and supporting their academic success.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Reliability, professionalism, and commitment to the program schedule.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and collaborate with educators.
• Previous tutoring, mentoring, teaching, or youth-development experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support in Environmental Science.
• Help scholars understand science concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for assessments.

Position Details

• Compensation: $27–$30 per hour

• Subject: High School Environmental Science

• Completion Bonus: Opportunity to earn up to 10% of total program earnings upon successful program completion, subject to eligibility requirements.
