Job summary

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an Environmental Safety & Health Manager to provide support for a Facilities and Life Support Contract performed at an overseas location. This full-time role requires active Secret clearance and the candidate must reside overseas.

Responsibilities include applying expert knowledge of occupational safety, fire protection engineering, and environmental compliance; ensuring compliance with laws and regulations; and managing health and safety programs in field

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, fire protection engineering, industrial hygiene, health physics, environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline.
• Minimum of five years of experience.
• Credential in area of expertise (PE license, CSP, CIH, or approved equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert ES&H management for overseas facilities and life-support operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety laws, regulations, and customer requirements; implement and oversee safety programs.

Essential Job Duties

• Expert knowledge of occupational safety and health, fire protection engineering, or environmental compliance and restoration management concepts, principles, practices, and procedures, body of laws, and regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Active in scope Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, Fire Protection Engineering,Industrial Hygiene, Health Physics, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
• A credential in the area of expertise (Professional Engineer license, Certified Safety professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, qualified environmental professional or approved equivalent).

Additional Information

Work Environment

• Must reside at an overseas location.
• Long hours, exposure to harsh weather and other hazardous conditions.
• Wearing of location appropriate PPE and clothing when in the field is required.
