Job summary

The City of Oxnard is seeking an Environmental Resources Division Manager to lead the Environmental Resources Division of the Public Works Department. You will oversee budgets, capital projects, and a 75 million dollar program, directing staff across residential and commercial collection, organics, recycling, and the MRF.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration.
  • Six years of journey-level professional experience in solid waste operations, with two years supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, CIP plans, and equipment replacement programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide budget development and administration for the division.
  • Oversee daily operations of residential and commercial collections and the MRF.
  • Develop policies and programs for long-range solid waste management.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and permits related to solid waste.
  • Lead community outreach and education on solid waste issues.
