Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ionizing radiation terminology, dose calculations, and hazard regulations.
• Ability to interpret Florida Statutes and regulations related to radioactive materials.
• Travel via airplane; lift 60 pounds; respond to radiological emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and technical review of license applications and amendments for radioactive materials.
• Interprets regulations and independently issues/denies licenses and amendments.
• Coordinates development of licensing guidance, policies, and inspection procedures.
• Other related duties.
• May be required to work before/during/after normal hours in emergencies.
