Onsite role located in Russellville, AR, with progression pathways to II, III, Senior, or Senior Lead based on experience.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering preferred or related discipline.
  • Engineer II: 2+ years; Engineer III: 4+ years; Senior: 6+ years; Senior Lead: 10+ years (8+ with MS/PE/ PMP).
  • SRO license or certification on a PWR/BWR; Professional Engineering license; Environmental Qualifications Card.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures engineering programs are performed and implemented per codes and standards.
  • Produces quality engineering products; designs to station licenses, codes, and standards.
  • Develops, plans, coordinates or implements special projects and improvement programs addressing plant issues.
  • Oversees drawings, specs, and design for fabrication/modification; resolves conflicts and promotes teamwork.
  • Ensures fleet lessons are learned and good practices are implemented.
  • Controls engineering costs by resource optimization and tracking expenditures; able to complete 10 CFR 50.59 qualification.

Note: This onsite position may be filled as an Engineer II, III, Senior or Senior Lead, based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. This position is located in Russelville, AR.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Prepares or reviews Environmental Qualification files, supporting calculations, and maintenance/installation/configuration requirements.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures engineering programs work is performed and implemented consistent with defined codes and standards.
  • Produces quality engineering products in support of engineering programs implementation. Designs and maintains conformance with station license, codes, and standards.
  • Develops, plans, and coordinates or implements special projects, corrective action plans, and improvement programs to address plant problems or regulatory sensitive issues.
  • Oversees development of drawings, specifications, and detailed design for fabrication of new and modification of existing plant equipment and systems. Initiates and executes frequent exchanges with others to resolve areas of conflict, promote a supportive team approach, and address issues where obstacles are hampering common performance.
  • Ensures fleet lessons are learned and good practices are implemented.
  • Controls engineering costs through the optimization of resources and tracking expenditures within budget parameters. Must be able and willing to complete 10CFR50.59 qualification.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Engineering Preferred or other closely related scientific discipline / physical science generally associated with power plant operations, or equivalent work experience (equivalent experience is defined as demonstrated success at the Engineer / Technical Specialist level.)

Minimum experience required of the position.

  • Engineer II: 2+ years of relevant experience (1year with a M.S.)
  • Engineer III: 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Senior Engineer: 6+ years of relevant experience (5+ years with PE)
  • Senior Lead Engineer: 10+ years of relevant experience (8+ years with a M.S./PMP/P.E.)

Technical Spec:

Minimum education required for the position.

Minimum experience required of the position.

Technical Specialist II: 2+ years commercial or military nuclear experience

Technical Specialist III: 4+ years commercial or military nuclear experience

Technical Specialist IV: 6+ years commercial or military nuclear experience


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Good to excellent communication skills.
  • Experience/proficiency in PC use and applications, depending upon engineering level.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Desired:

  • SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR
  • Professional Engineering license
  • Enviromental Qualifications Card
