Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking an Environmental Programs Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain citywide environmental programs in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Under general supervision, you will engage the public, manage partnerships, coordinate outreach and training initiatives.

You’ll conduct audits, support regulatory reporting, oversee spill response, manage websites and social media, and drive continuous improvement within the Environmental Management System while

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of environmental project/program management experience.
• Experience with audits and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to communicate with public and partners.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Coordinate regulatory compliance tasks and reporting.
• Develop outreach programs and educate the public.
• Oversee spill response and documentation.
• Manage city website and social media content.
• Track training results and prepare reports.
• Support continuous improvement projects.
• Provide project management and event planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
