Job summary

LaBella Associates seeks an Environmental Program Manager to lead our Eastern NY team in the Permitting & Compliance Department. The role involves managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and expanding client relationships across our footprint.

The position offers hybrid (home/office) work schedules and requires strong experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on wetlands, species, and stormwater regulations.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in Environmental, Ecology, or Biology.
  • 8–15 years of delineation, permitting, jurisdictional determinations for freshwater wetlands and streams.
  • Knowledge of NY local, state and federal regulations related to wetlands, streams and protected species.
  • Ability to review, edit, and provide QA/QC for deliverables.
  • Experience with cost estimating and proposing projects.
  • Must be self-sufficient and self-motivated.
  • Must be comfortable representing the firm to maintain, pursue, and establish client relationships.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Fast-paced environmental consulting/engineering practice.
  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000.

LaBella is currently seeking an Environmental Program Manager leading our Eastern NY team for our Environmental Division in our Permitting & Compliance Department. The proper candidate should be self-sufficient, have experience managing and proposing projects, marketing clients, maintaining existing clients, and be comfortable managing/mentoring junior staff. Requirements
  • Minimum BS or BA in Environmental, Ecology, or Biology.
  • 8 to 15 years of experience in delineation, permitting, jurisdictional determinations, etc. of freshwater wetlands and streams.
  • Knowledge of New York local, state and federal regulations as it related to wetlands, stream and protected species.
  • Ability to review, edit, and provide QA/QC for deliverables.
  • Experience cost estimating and proposing projects.
  • Must be self-sufficient and self-motivated.
  • Must be comfortable being a firm representative (i.e. maintain, pursue, and establish client business relationships).
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Fast-paced environmental consulting/engineering practice.
  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000
  • The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
