Job summary

The incumbent at US Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is an Environmental Protection Specialist responsible for analytical, research, report writing, and editing tasks on environmental subjects in support of APHIS programs. They report to the Chief of Environmental and Risk Analysis Services and coordinate with ERAS, APHIS staff, and other agencies.

Qualifications

• Planning, writing, and/or reviewing environmental compliance documents.
• Providing guidance regarding pertinent legislation, regulations, or standards related to environmental policy.
• Researching and synthesizing of complex data to support scientific analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical, research, report writing, and editing tasks on environmental subjects in support of APHIS programs.
• Coordinate procedural and scientific aspects of environmental work with ERAS, APHIS staff, the Department and other Federal agencies.
