Job summary

Patriot Engineering and Environmental in Columbus, Ohio seeks an Environmental Project Manager Engineer/Geologist to join a growing team. The role involves managing environmental assessment and remedial services with a focus on Phase I ESAs and regulatory compliance.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of experience, a 40-hour HAZWOPER, and strong communication and technical writing skills. Travel and occasional weekends are required; professional licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 5–7 years of experience
• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate
• Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
• Knowledge of Federal, Ohio State and Local environmental regulations
• Travel for fieldwork, with hours more than 40 per week and weekends, as needed
• Professional license a plus or ability to obtain within 2 years
• Able to pass both a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
• BUSTR closures, Tier I/II
• Assist with Phase II investigations, remedial action plans, and demolition oversight
• Assist with review, evaluation, and interpretation of environmental data and prepare technical reports
• Interact with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels in a professional manner
• Assist with preparation of cost proposals
• Adhere to and promote Patriot's health and safety and loss prevention procedures and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
