Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter support in regulatory compliance processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of NEPA documents.
  • Perform environmental technical studies and report preparation.
  • Conduct environmental site assessments.
  • Working with an interdisciplinary team of technical specialists
  • Assisting with proposals and business development
  • Staying current on regulatory changes and building relationships with regulatory officials
  • Participating in client functions, tradeshows and conferences
  • Conducting and supporting environmental site assessments (Phase I/II ESA, TxDOT ISAs)
  • Supporting water resources and wetland delineations and habitat assessments

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Providing multifaceted subject mattersupportinregulatory compliance processes of NEPA, Clean Water Act Endangered Species Act, and other federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Assistingin the preparation ofNational Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements for transportation or other infrastructure(water, wastewater, etc.)projectsin accordance withTexas Department of Transportation or other state/federal agency standards.
  • Performing/supportingenvironmental technical studies and report preparation, asappropriate.
  • Assistinginpublic and agency outreach.
  • Working with an interdisciplinary team of technical specialists
  • Assistingwith proposals and business development
  • Stays up to date on regulatory changes andestablishworking relationships with regulatory officials
  • Participate in client functions, tradeshowsand conferences
  • Conductand supportenvironmental site assessments (Phase I/II ESA studies, TxDOT ISAs, etc.)
  • Support andassistwater resources and wetland delineations, biological habitatassessmentsand other support fieldwork activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’sand/orMaster’sdegree inbiological sciences,environmental sciences, transportation planning, environmental planning, geography,GISor similar discipline/closely related field
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel,PowerPointand Project
  • Candidate must provide research andwritingexamples, as applicable
Preferred Additional Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of related consulting or agency experience preferred
  • Competence withArcGISand Python programming language
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with the project team and clients
  • Valid driver's license isrequired
