HDR in Irvine, CA seeks an Environmental Planner 2 to prepare comprehensive CEQA and NEPA documents for transportation, water, and energy projects. You will conduct environmental research, assess impacts, and draft mitigation measures to support project delivery.

Under supervision, you will coordinate with environmental specialists to integrate reports. A Bachelor’s in Environmental Science and 5+ years’ experience are expected along with strong writing and collaboration skills.

Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Environmental Planner2 include:

Preparing the full range of CEQA and NEPA documentation for a wide variety of projects, including transportation, water, renewable energy, utilities, and land use development

Conducts environmental research; writes documents; evaluates potential environmental impact of projects; drafts environmental mitigation measures.

Working under the supervision of a Senior Environmental Planner or Environmental Project Manager, this position will be responsible for research and preparation of CEQA and NEPA documents, including coordination with environmental specialists preparing technical reports to be integrated into project deliverables.
