Job summary

Leiters Health is seeking an Environmental Monitoring Technician to join our quality laboratory team in a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role requires performing daily quality functions, environmental monitoring of personnel and clean rooms, and support for investigations of deviations.

Strong communication with multiple departments and adherence to cGMP and USP guidelines are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-2 years of a quality position at a cGMP facility, sterile injectable product preferred.
  • Proficient written, verbal and oral English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform environmental monitoring of personnel and clean rooms.
  • Incubation, enumeration, and verification of agar plates.
  • Support investigations when deviations or errors occur.
  • Support process and operator media fills by enumerating, incubating, and observing media filled units.
  • Comprehend and utilize SOPs, forms, operational GMP training, and quality activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Environmental Monitoring Technician reports to the Microbiology Manager and is responsible forperforming quality activities andmaintaininga quality laboratory environment in a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.The candidate should have an understanding of cGMP requirements and cleanroom cleanliness requirements.The position requires an individual who works independently and in a team environment, with attention to detail, andmaintainscommunication with other functional areas,leadershipand sites.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • N/A
EXPERIENCE AND NECESSARY COMPETENCIES:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-2 years of a quality position at a cGMP facility. Sterile injectable product preferred. Food,cosmeticorpharmaceuticalwill be considered.
  • Ability to communicate with multiple departments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
  • Able to consistently record critical data correctly and legibly.
  • Understandingof503B regulatory requirements, cGMP standards, and USP guidelines is a plus!
  • Proficient written, verbal and oral English communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Microsoft, and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push and pullup to50 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to maintain a gowning qualification.
  • Must have 20/20near range vision and proficient color perception, with or without correction.
