Immatics is seeking an Environmental Monitoring Specialist I to join our Microbiology Environmental Monitoring team in Stafford, TX. This role provides daily operational support for EM services in aseptic production areas and supports safety testing for final drug product release.

Responsibilities include performing environmental monitoring (viable air, surface, total particulates, personnel), conducting microbiological testing, and coordinating samples with contract labs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, preferably Microbiology.
• 0-1 years' experience in a related role.
• Experience with aseptic processing and working in cleanroom environments.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong professional writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate, and well-organized documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental monitoring of aseptic production areas, including viable air, surface, total particulate, and personnel monitoring.
• Perform microbiological testing activities, including sample incubation, result interpretation, microbial identification, media growth promotion, and coordination of samples with contract laboratories.
• Support aseptic process simulations through environmental monitoring, inspection, and evaluation activities.
• Execute equipment qualification activities and support ongoing equipment cleaning, maintenance, and readiness.
• Perform safety testing of in-process and final drug products in accordance with established procedures.
• Support general laboratory operations, including inventory management, sample receipt and disposition, and laboratory cleaning and disinfection.
