Job summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. in Cinnaminson, NJ is seeking a Microbiologist I specializing in Direct Microscopy. The role covers preparation and analysis of environmental samples, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Science required; Biology or Microbiology preferred.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Lab experience is a plus; familiarity with spore traps, direct microscopy, or culture-based microbiology is beneficial.
• Ability to work with microscopes and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples by direct microscopy.
• Read and identify fungi in spore trap and tape samples using optical microscopy.
• Generate analytical reports and enter data into LIMS.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Perform quality control per QA/QC manual.
