Job summary

Irving Knight Group seeks an Area Environmental Manager - Cement to oversee environmental compliance across MCC operations in WY, UT, CO, and NE. The role emphasizes interpreting EPA and state regulations, maintaining permits, and coordinating regulator submissions.

The ideal candidate will guide supervisors and employees on environmental and safety standards, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions while minimizing risk in cement manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must have a B.S. degree in the Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have a fundamental understanding of all state and federal riles and regulations in the stated territory
• Familiarity with air quality, water quality, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous materials, and solid and hazardous waste regulations

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance across MCC operations.
• Interpret and implement EPA, WDEQ, NPDES, RCRA, MSHA, OSHA, and state regulations.
• Guide supervisors and employees on environmental and safety requirements.
• Maintain permits, records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Serve as MCC’s liaison with EPA, WDEQ, and other regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate inspections, audits, monitoring, and agency submissions.
• Identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate compliance objectives and track performance.
• Educate, coach, and motivate employees on environmental and safety standards.
• Support cement manufacturing operations while minimizing environmental risk.
• Investigate incidents, resolve compliance issues, and prevent recurrence.
• Promote ethical decision-making and a strong culture of compliance
