Job summary

Ashland Inc. is seeking an Environmental Manager for our Calvert City, KY plant. You will lead environmental compliance, reporting, and regulatory interactions, shaping programs and training across the site.

The role requires a strong background in environmental regulations, utilities, and community engagement, with travel up to 10% and a focus on continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• BS in a science or engineering related field required.
• 10+ years in Environmental and EHS in manufacturing.
• Kentucky Wastewater Operator Level 3 or ability to obtain.
• Experience with regulatory and community agencies.
• Strong ethical behavior and business understanding.

This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Environmental function. This position will report to EHSS Manager.

What This Role Is Not

Not an entry level position - we need a candidate to hit the ground running with solid experience and a background to prove it Not a box ticking role, we want to live our processes and procedures This is not creating a new program from scratch

Qualifications

• BS in a science or engineering related field
• 10+ years in Environmental and EHS related field, in a manufacturing environment
• Kentucky Wastewater Operator Level 3, or be able to obtain in reasonable amount of time
• Working knowledge in: RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, KY regulations. TRI, SARA reporting
• Experience with regulatory and community agencies
• Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times
• The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different

Preferred Skills

• Landfill management
• Experience in CDX reporting
