Job summary

Producers Midstream Management LLC is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead the company’s environmental strategy and ensure regulatory compliance for oil and gas operations in multiple states. The role focuses on permitting, regulatory interactions, and risk management while aligning with operations and leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring oil & gas regulatory experience and translate environmental requirements into practical strategies to support safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Natural Resources or related field.
  • 3–5 years managing environmental programs in oil & gas, midstream, pipeline or natural gas processing.
  • 2+ years supervisory/management experience.
  • Multi‑state regulatory experience, especially NM, OK, TX.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to field operations.
  • Strong planning, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Construction, Safety and Leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s environmental strategy across operating areas.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess impacts to operations and projects.
  • Manage permitting, reporting, recordkeeping, inspections, audits and corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary environmental resource for Operations, Engineering, Construction and leadership.
  • Build relationships with federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate responses to inspections and information requests.
  • Identify environmental risks and develop compliant, practical solutions.
  • Provide environmental support for new projects, expansions, acquisitions and changes.
  • Develop and maintain environmental policies, procedures, training and internal programs.
  • Manage environmental consultants and third-party service providers.

SUMMARY

The Environmental Manager leads the Company’s environmental strategy and compliance programs supporting midstream oil and gas operations. This role provides guidance on environmental permitting, regulatory requirements, agency interactions, and risk management across multiple states.

The ideal candidate brings oil and gas regulatory experience and can effectively translate environmental requirements into practical strategies that support safe and efficient operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with the Director of Environmental Services to develop and execute the Company’s environmental strategy across operating areas.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential impacts to operations, projects, and facilities.
  • Manage environmental permitting, reporting, recordkeeping, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary environmental resource for Operations, Engineering, Construction, and leadership.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate responses to agency inspections, information requests, and compliance matters.
  • Identify environmental risks and develop practical solutions to maintain compliance while supporting operational objectives.
  • Provide environmental support for new projects, facility expansions, acquisitions, and operational changes.
  • Work closely with the Director of Environmental Services to develop and maintain environmental policies, procedures, training, and internal compliance programs.
  • Assist the Director of Environmental Services with managing environmental consultants and third-party service providers as needed.
  • Assist the Director of Environmental Services with providing leadership with updates on regulatory developments, compliance risks, and environmental performance.
  • Promote environmental responsibility and accountability throughout the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing environmental programs within the oil and gas, midstream, pipeline, or natural gas processing industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • 2+ years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Multi-state regulatory experience, particularly in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas, strongly preferred.
  • Experience working directly with environmental and oil and gas regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply requirements to field and facility operations.
  • Strong strategic planning, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across Operations, Engineering, Construction, Safety, Legal, and leadership teams.

Physical Conditions:

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to Company facilities, field locations, and other business-related locations as needed.
