Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Carmel, IN seeks a Litigation Associate with an interest in environmental litigation to join our Environmental Law practice. You will represent clients in state and federal proceedings and develop litigation strategies.

The ideal candidate has a J.D. with strong credentials, 2+ years of experience, and familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, and the Clean Water Act. Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in environmental litigation or related fields.
• Knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and the Clean Water Act preferred.
• Bar admission in Indiana or eligibility to obtain admission.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in state and federal environmental litigation and administrative proceedings.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies, including case planning and motion practice.
• Analyze and litigate insurance coverage issues related to environmental claims.
• Advise clients on environmental liabilities and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct legal research and prepare litigation‑related documents.
• Collaborate with clients, technical consultants, and insurers on litigation strategies.
• Participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Stay current on developments in environmental and insurance coverage law.
• Contribute to business development through client management and networking.
