Job Overview

As an Analyst I in our Richmond, VA laboratory, you will assist multiple projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary staff, regulatory agencies, and clients.

The compensation range for this role is $21.00 to $25.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule: Monday - Friday with occasional overtime.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Preparation of samples for GC analysis.
• Analysis of samples by GC analysis.
• Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment.
• Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis.
• Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency or accuracy of analyses.
• Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
• Complying with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies.
• Complying with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan.
• Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or related field preferred.
• Two years’ lab experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of analytical methods, analytical instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good organizational skills and strong communication skills.

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, and walking.
• Lifting 50 pounds several times a day.
• Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds.
• Works in an office environment.
• May be exposed to hot and cold environments.
• May occasionally work shifts up to 12 hours in duration.
