Onterris is seeking a Laboratory Technician I for our Wilmington, NC lab on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri). You will prepare samples, reagents, perform extractions, and support instrument operations under supervision from Group Leaders and analysts.

The position requires a BA/BS in Chemistry or Natural Science, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively. Onterris is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

  • Determining the volume of samples.
  • Cleaning of laboratory glassware.
  • Maintaining clean laboratory areas.
  • Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis.
  • Overhead projects to improve efficiency or accuracy of analyses.
  • Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
  • Comply with Quality Assurance Program and other policies.
  • Comply with Health and Safety Plan.

A Day in the Life As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals. The compensation range for this role is $23.00 to $24.50, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Schedule: We are looking for a full-time Laboratory Technician I to fill our 2nd shift, Monday - Friday position, in our Wilmington, NC lab. The regular work schedule for this position may vary depending on departmental and operational requirements. Employees in this role may be required to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may also be required based on workload and business needs. Flexibility and reliability in scheduling are essential for this position.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Preparation of samples for analysis

Your Expertise and Skills
  • BA / BS Degree in Chemistry or Natural Science (or equivalent training)
  • Able to multi-task and communicate effectively (both oral and written)

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
