Job summary

The Arizona Department of Health Services seeks an Environmental Lab Compliance Officer II to oversee licensing inspections and ensure facility compliance with state and federal rules. You’ll work across the Quality Assurance, Radiation Control, and Lab Licensure offices, reviewing quality systems, preparing reports, and guiding laboratories toward best practices.

Hybrid work is available; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science plus 5+ years in lab field or LCO I plus 2+ years inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of laboratories to determine compliance with statutes, rules and internal procedures.
• Develop standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, and other performance-related metrics.
• Schedule and oversee training for new employees and provide guidance to lower-level staff.
