Job summary

Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) seeks an Attorney to join the Clean Air & Water team in Boston, MA. Flexible work within New England may be available, with the role funded for two years and potential extension.

The Attorney will handle litigation focused on the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act in federal court and may include state or other federal claims to protect communities, especially those historically disadvantaged.

Qualifications

• Legal and litigation experience in environmental law.
• Interest in public health and social justice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Devise and execute legal strategies to advance CLF’s advocacy goals.
• Represent CLF in litigation proceedings, including federal court cases.
• Negotiate civil penalties, injunctive relief, and fee/cost recovery.
• Advise CLF and community groups on legal and policy matters.
• Build coalitions with community groups, public officials, and organizations.
• Prepare research reports, memos, and presentations.
• Support communications and development teams with advocacy materials.
