Verdantas is seeking a driven environmental intern for the Summer 2027 Pave the Way Program at our Wilmington, Delaware location. You’ll gain hands-on experience in real-world environmental consulting projects and work with our experts to solve data-driven challenges.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years towards degree in environmental science, engineering, geology or equivalent study.
• Relevant courses related to environmental science, geology, or similar.
• Proficient in MS Office products.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Internship or coop experience.
• Experience in ArcGIS and AutoCAD preferred.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fieldwork such as sampling various media, conducting site inspections, and supporting field engineers, geologists, and scientists.
• Research, collect, and enter data; apply technical principles to help interpret and analyze environmental data sets.
• Assist in preparing environmental investigation designs, work plans, and conceptual site models.
• Perform preliminary human health and ecological risk calculations and modeling to support project evaluations.
• Assist with environmental assessments to identify site conditions, potential impacts, and compliance needs.
• Prepare technical reports that summarize methods, findings, and recommendations.
• Travel as required to support field activities and project needs.
