• Solid technical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performing fieldwork as needed and support projects by maintaining databases and assisting in technical reporting.
• Field assistance with groundwater, soil, and soil vapor sampling, and ecological risk assessments.
• Oversee field work such as soil excavation and remediation support.
• Perform engineering calculations and design assistance for various sites.

Overview

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Environmental Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program out of our Clifton Park, NY Office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2027 (flexible).

This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Responsibilities

• Performing fieldwork as needed, support projects by maintaining databases and assist in the preparation of technical reporting.
• Field assistance with groundwater sampling, soil sampling, soil vapor sampling, ecological risk assessments etc.
• Field work oversight such as soil excavation, remediation, due diligence inspections, etc.
• Perform engineering calculations and design assistance for government, commercial, and industrial properties as needed.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Pursuing Masters, Bachelors or Associate Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Time Management, willingness to take on new things.
• Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, detail orientated person.
• Basic - GIS, CADD; intermediate/advanced - excel and word
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.
• Communication, field work, detail-oriented, takes initiative.
• Previous experience in internships or relevant coursework preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour safety or 30-hour OSHA safety training preferred but not required.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
