Then Hampton and Peninsula Health District is looking for you! We are looking for an Environmental Health Supervisor to manage and mentor our Hampton EH team. In this role, you will provide technical guidance, oversee the food safety and inspection program, and support enforcement activities. You will also train new staff across diverse program areas—from rabies investigations to marina, campground, hotel, and swimming pool inspections—while coordinating workloads and fostering professional growth. Serves as a supervisor of assigned environmental health services with formal administrative, programmatic and performance management responsibilities for multiple staff in support of work unit goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

Additional Considerations
  • Experience in the administration of public environmental health programs
  • Environmental Health Specialist Senior certifications are preferred
  • Environmental Health Technical Specialist certifications are preferred
