Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm located in South Carolina is seeking an experienced EHS specialist to oversee site safety and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in an industrial environment, with strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. Responsibilities include leading incident investigations, driving safety and sustainability initiatives, and partnering with engineering teams on equipment design. This role offers a critical position in maintaining compliance and promoting a robust safety culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations.
• Hands-on experience with LOTO and Machine Guarding.
• Hands-on experience with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).
• Machine Guarding.
• Title V preferred.
• Experience supporting EHS in new equipment/projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as EHS SME for site safety & environmental compliance.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and regulatory standards.
• Lead/support incident investigations (RCA).
• Drive safety culture & sustainability initiatives.
• Partner with engineering teams on safe equipment design & implementation.
• Maintain EHS documentation, permits, and reporting

Skills

EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial environment

ISO 14001 & audit readiness
