Job summary

NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) seeks an undergraduate intern for its Environmental Health team in Chicago. The candidate will report to the Midwest Environmental Health Director and work onsite 3 days per week for a 10-week period.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
• Rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, and May 2027 graduates are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support campaigns on environmental health, cumulative impacts, and corporate accountability, focusing on Illinois communities.
• Develop community health assessments, policy briefs, reports, and educational materials to strengthen advocacy.
• Assist with research, data collection, and analysis for environmental health projects.
• Contribute to outreach, coalition-building, and engagement with community organizations.
