C Chelan-Douglas Health District is seeking an Environmental Health Specialist II (Inspector) in East Wenatchee, WA. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with state and local regulations for onsite systems through field inspections and related office work.

The position requires knowledge of environmental health regulations, ability to work independently or in a team, and readiness to conduct various inspections including septic, water systems, and pool/spa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts with at least 30 semester hours of science or 45 quarter hours science credits.
• Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) or Registered Sanitarian (RS) or ability to acquire REHS/RS within 24 months.
• Registered Sanitarian or REHS Certification for EHS II position.
• OSWW Certification must be obtained within three years of hire.

Responsabilités

• Complete onsite septic system inspections in compliance with state/local codes.
• Review applications and septic designs for regulatory compliance; coordinate with applicants and installers.
• Review, create and issue permits for septic systems per guidelines.
• Enter relevant septic system installer information into the database.
