Job summary

The City of Lincoln/Lancaster County is seeking a qualified Environmental Health Specialist to conduct inspections and investigations as part of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department’s Waste Management and Hazardous Materials Section. You will work at the Hazardous Waste Center and at collection events, with potential to join the emergency response/HAZMAT team.

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in environmental science, environmental health, environmental engineering, or biological, chemical or physical sciences.
• Equivalent training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
