Position Overview

This position is responsible for managing all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs, activities, and control measures at the manufacturing facility. The EHS Manager fosters a culture of continuous safety, health, and environmental excellence, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role includes coordinating safety training, including OSHA and VPP programs.

Additional Information
  • Monday - Friday, with coverage for nights/weekends as needed for 24/7 operations
  • 10% travel
  • Eligible for performance-based bonus

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead safety and health training programs
  • Support employee safety committees
  • Manage EHS Management System
  • Conduct inspections, investigations, and analyses to prevent accidents and environmental releases
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare reports
  • Support OSHA VPP STAR status initiatives
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and liaise with enforcement agencies
  • Promote a positive safety culture through proactive engagement
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work without sponsorship
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of EHS experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in EHS roles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal training or experience with continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Bachelor's in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or Business
  • Experience with OSHA VPP audits or maintaining VPP status
