Job summary

AECOM is seeking a motivated Environmental Geologist for our Orlando, FL office to support the Environmental business line with a focus on Department of Defense projects. The role involves fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting across natural systems while adhering to regulatory requirements and safety practices.

The candidate will prepare technical documents, coordinate with on-site staff and project managers, and contribute to the development of remediation strategies with potential travel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field plus 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent
Valid U.S. Driver's License
Background and motor vehicle records checks required
Enrollment in medical surveillance program

Responsibilities

Utilizes basic scientific principles to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope
Prepare technical work plans and reports
Interpret and record data, ensure regulatory compliance
Plan, execute, analyze and report environmental measures in natural systems
Collect samples (soil, groundwater, etc.) and prepare for shipping
Support sampling, data collection, and field documentation on-site
Direct staff in task execution
Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors
Provide technical expertise support
