Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Environmental Technician to support environmental projects in the Permian Basin region of Texas and New Mexico. This role requires the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel, and be on-call as needed while working in a team environment.

Responsibilities include soil and groundwater sampling, detailed field notes, safety audits, and oversight of subcontractors. The position is full-time, with significant travel and outdoor field work under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication.
• BS in Engineering, Geoscience or Environmental Science is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Soil sampling activities.
• Groundwater sampling activities.
• Completion of detailed field notes, daily reports, forms and checklists.
• Health and Safety assessments and audits of project sites and teams.
• Quality, Health and Safety oversight of sub-contractors.
• Other tasks as assigned.
