Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts seeks a Field Technician 1 to support EEA in Massachusetts. You will perform drainage maintenance, pipe clearing, and GIS reporting in the Yarmouthport area, with a focus on safe operation in all weather conditions.

Preferred candidates hold a pesticide license; CDL A/B is a plus. If no pesticide license, you must pass CORE within 3 months. This is a full-time role with a yearly salary range of approximately $52,156 to $73,078.

Qualifications

• Possession of pesticide license preferred; if not held, must pass CORE pesticide license within 3 months of hire.
• CDL A or B license is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clear drainage ditch systems using shovel, rake, or other hand tools to remove debris from water channels.
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow traffic rules.
• Remove blockages from culverts.
• Use sewer snake to unblock pipes.
• Brush cutter and/or chain saw to access mosquito habitats.
• Apply larvicides with hand or backpack sprayers and maintain safe work habits.
