Job summary

Environmental Design Inc. (EDI) seeks a reliable Environmental Field Technician to perform inspections, testing, air monitoring, and project documentation across New Jersey, the Philadelphia region, and surrounding areas.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organization, and writing skills, with willingness to travel and work at active construction/remediation sites. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in NJ/PA and beyond.
• Be available for irregular hours, including mornings/evenings/weekends when schedules require.
• Comfortable working in active construction/remediation environments.
• Physically capable of walking sites, climbing stairs, and carrying equipment.
• Able to wear respiratory protection when required.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of documenting field activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos inspections, air monitoring, and project oversight.
• Perform indoor air quality and mold investigations and sampling.
• Collect environmental field samples and perform testing.
• Work at active construction and remediation sites.
• Prepare field documentation, photographs, logs, and basic reports.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, laboratories, and EDI project managers.
