Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Geologist to support site investigations and remediation in Conshohocken, PA. The role involves collecting environmental data in the field and preparing investigative reports, with field oversight of subcontractors.

The position requires a BS in a relevant science, a valid US driver’s license, and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time. U.S. citizenship is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in the Geological, Hydrogeological, or Environmental Sciences; Engineering; or a related field.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
• As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
• Candidate will submit to medical surveillance screening upon hire.
• Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental field work including collecting soil, surface water, groundwater, vapor and remediation system data.
• Oversight of contractors conducting field surveys, drilling, well installation, and utility clearance for intrusive operations.
• Participation in a health and safety team performing inspections, observations, and training.
• Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.
• Supporting office tasks including data entry, data analysis, report preparation, and maintenance of a records archive system.
• Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.
