Clean Harbors in Sparks, NV is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and our company policies and procedures.
Note: This position requires new hires to attend a two‑week Academy training out of state. Expenses are covered by the company and it is paid training.
This role works both indoors and outdoors at plants, labs, and customer sites. Responsibilities include assisting with lab packs within customer facilities, household hazardous waste (HHW) collections, and lab moves. The Environmental Field Chemist is a customer‑facing position, working at customer sites daily, and is not laboratory‑based.

This is an entry‑level management position. From this role, there are approximately 15 other roles one can be promoted into within Clean Harbors. Many former employees start in this role and advance to significant positions within the company and at customer sites.
We accelerate training to help you acquire the skills and knowledge to succeed. You may work at any of our 200+ branch locations and transfer internally. After approximately 18 to 36 months, you may move into a salary‑management position.
