Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an intern to join the Corporate EHS & Sustainability Team in New York. You will assess and advance sustainability projects, benchmark against peers, and explore resource-conservation initiatives while applying AI tools for data analysis.

You will help define the business case, set next steps, and ensure milestones are met on time. A focus on safety, ethics, and clear communication is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship. Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• Software proficiency, proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Corporate EHS & Sustainability team on advancing new topics/projects such as peer benchmarking, resource conservation initiatives, and use of AI tools for data analysis.
• Define and communicate the business case and next steps for the identified projects.
• Ontime completion of project milestones and deliverables and clear communication of those milestones and current status.
• Support the EHS & Sustainability Team on other projects as needed.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Summary of Role

This internship role will be responsible for assessing and advancing discrete sustainability and EHS projects on the Corporate EHS & Sustainability Team. Essential Responsibilities include:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning & organizational skills
