Job summary

Brown and Caldwell in Seattle is offering a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern role across the Northwest, applying academic knowledge to real-world projects and supporting consulting teams. You will gain hands-on experience alongside engineers, scientists, consultants, and constructors while learning the project lifecycle under close supervision.

The internship emphasizes collaboration, data analysis, technical reporting, and preparation of materials.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Engineering or Science or a related field.
• Continued enrollment in degree program post internship is required.
• GPA equal to or higher than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with crossfunctional and multidisciplinary teams to support project planning and execution.
• Support day-to-day activities within assigned projects and/or functional area
• Participate in internal and external meetings by taking notes, tracking action items, and supporting followup activities.
• Perform technical or support tasks within assigned functional area and technical specialty in support of project and team needs
• Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time.
• Perform a variety of technical and operational tasks assigned to support evolving business and team needs
• Attend and complete Intern Workshops and Intern Summer Series Sessions
• Complete intern capstone project assignment
• Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
