Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Environmental to join our collaborative team in Arlington, VA. You will assist with environmental-related technical aspects of land development projects, gaining exposure to field work, data collection, and report preparation.

You will work directly with environmental leadership, learn site feasibility studies, and develop skills in engineering analyses, documentation, and use of field equipment. This role offers hands-on training and growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Travel may be required based on business needs and project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field investigations, logging borings, sampling, and data collection.
• Support monitoring and testing on projects to verify compliance with specifications.
• Prepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results.
• Learn data management and modeling tools for environmental media and engineering analyses.
• Prepare logs, field forms, and documentation for projects.
